Eternity vault how long does it take

But everyone read: that means you too must play by the rules in order to succeed. If you have to stand behind the boss while you kill it, you will. If you have to run from an attack, you will.

This is important. Always be polite : Nobody likes a quitter. If you absolutely must leave, then explain why and wish them good luck before you log out. This way, the mobs or boss will go for the high-hitpoint Tank, rather than the squishier Healers and DPS. Interrupt whenever possible: If the boss or mob is channeling an ability, and you can interrupt it, do so.

Do not let them hit when you can stop them. Raid : Operations Tank : A role players fulfill where they keep a bosses attention. DPS : Damage per second. Also the role of damage dealer, which any class can fulfill.

Cleave : Any attack that hits everything in front of the boss. AoE : Area of Effect attack, hits multiple targets. Some may be interrupted by abilities like Force Kick. I personally prefer Mumble. Aggro : The aggression of a Mob towards a given player. It is the job of a Tank to keep the aggro of everything they fight. Wipe : Short for a wipeout, which happens when a team fails fighting a boss. Generally viewed as more difficult than Guild runs.

Note that some refer to Scum and Villainy as Darvannis, the planet that it is set in. Stacking : Can refer to players grouping close to each other, or a buff or debuff whose effects grow the more it is used.

If you are reading this, you have most likely entered or will soon enter the Eternity Vault, or EV as us PvE vets prefer to call it. So, welcome aboard. There will also be a one-time mission you can pick up before entering. Now, when you first arrive, you will be treated to a cutscene of your capital ship coming under fire. You should be heading for a ramp made of ice that leads up to two turrets. Wait for everyone to be ready, and let a Tank attack, or just start the fight if you are one.

The turrets are your top priority for this pre-boss warmup. From there, damage it normally. Everyone else, use any ranged attack possible. After both turrets and the droids they spawn are down droids should die fairly quickly , run back to the ice ramp, and the first boss of the Operation will spawn.

This metal behemoth is the first boss of the Op, and introduces you to some fairly simple mechanics. Try and stay behind him, this helps in my experience.

This should let you survive. This is your cue to start running. The boss will start spawning red target reticules at your feet, and fires a missile at each one that does heavy damage.

It is best to run from these, and be careful to avoid the escape routes of other players. Additionally, if a large red target is painted onto you, run away from everyone else.

Once the boss is down, collect his loot and start right clicking the charges on the door behind him. Proceed to the next phase. There will be some long bridges and large flying droids. No special mechanics here, really, just interrupt their every move. There will also be some released Flesh Raider-type prisoners, just kill them and keep moving.

Lock On is an unavoidable damage mechanic to non-tanks that healers should watch for burst healing. Lock On hitting a player during Storm Protocol can one-shot a player without immediate burst healing. The tank should always face the boss away from the group and position themselves at one end of the platform. Gharj primarily deals single target and cleave damage to the tank.

Run back if so. Gharj will regularly start channelling Frenzy, which will begin collapsing the current island. A new island will appear with steps to reach it. The boss will also regularly use a large AoE stomp attack.

Gharj does not have any new mechanics in Veteran Mode but the higher damage of some abilities requires players be much more careful. Most non-tank players can only survive Frenzy Leaps before dying.

Players should time their movement between islands to quickly move past Gharj to avoid taking damage or at most only get clipped by one Frenzy Leap.

Healing overall is not difficult except during Frenzy transition phases between islands. Frenzy AoE damage and periodic damage from lava is by far the most stressful healing phase in the fight. Tanks have the same responsibilities in Veteran Mode.

This encounter is a puzzle encounter. The team will need to split into equally balanced groups to solve the puzzle at the North and South locations. The overall goal is to match all 4 rows such that all icons on that row are the same. The puzzle is solved via using the Left and Right clickable buttons to rotate the middle icon until it matches the left and right icons on that row. This begins with the bottom row and proceeds upwards until all rows are matched. Once both North and South are locked in on the given row, the puzzle proceeds to the new row moving upwards.

Once all 4 are solved, the team is teleported to the middle area and the puzzle is complete. Adds will be periodically spawned at 3 locations near each console. Periodically an Acklay will be spawned that should be stunned and killed. Shortly after the 3 Acklay wave, the puzzle will reset if not solved. Ancient Pylons is only slightly more difficult in Veteran Mode. The main difference is the Pylon Ward debuff that is applied to a player when they interact with the controls to rotate the puzzle icons.

This requires a rotation of players to take turns clicking the puzzle to solve it in time. This encounter involves each player fighting a 1v1 solo battle. It is super important that no guards, raid buffs, AoE buffs or AoE heals are used and that no player damages any boss other than their boss or heals anyone other than themselves.

Each player should be assigned to an individual boss. Once everyone is ready, someone will click the console in the entryway to drop the bosses and make the active and able to be damaged. Each player will kill their own boss. Juggernauts and Marauders are very straightforward. Assassins deal a fair bit of damage and can be challenging for some healers. Reflect abilities are very useful, as is respeccing to a DPS discipline for that fight. Thus, everyone should take care of their own boss and avoid anyone else.

Once their boss is down, the player an use ONE damaging ability to help another player. They will then get the debuff and be unable to help. It is possible to have one player take care of two bosses in case of players who are unable to kill their boss. The Infernal Council is the same in Veteran Mode except the bosses have more health and deal more damage.

There is no change to the strategy to clear them, which is a series of 1v1 battles between each player and a boss. Soa is the last boss in the Eternity Vault. The encounter is a combination of fairly straight-forward tank-and-spank mechanics, some platforming, and a positioning mechanic at the end. No one should enter the room with Soa. Find the path, and jump to the next platform.

While this happens, Gharj will also start doing his Smash attack by jumping up and down in place, which will hurt if yo are standing nearby, so if you need to run past him to get to your next platform, you may want to wait a second or two and run between smashes, especially in veteran mode.

When you get to the next island, stay near the side of the platform where you arrived, as the tank will be taking Gharj to the other side of the platform. This boss gets bugged on a very frequent basis. Or you may find the Smashes and Slams never happen, as you damaged the boss too fast.

Dealing with the strange bugs related to this boss has been a constant source of amusement for more experienced groups, and a head-shaking experience for new groups. Instead, your group will split up in half, and solve a two-part puzzle, with one part located in the North and one part located in the South. The concept of the puzzle is that there is a set of wheels in the center of the pylon, and the goal is to make the center wheel match the outer symbols by turning the wheel. The symbols on the outside are random every time, and the North and the South have different symbols.

To rotate the wheel in the center, starting with the bottom wheel and moving your way up, right-click the blue terminals on the left or the right. When the symbol matches, right-click the central terminal the lock-in the matching wheel and move on to the next wheel in the stack. When a terminal is clicked, it will turn from blue to grey colored, and will turn blue again once it becomes available to be clicked again.

In-between clicks, enemies will appear that your group will need to fight. In story mode, you can split your team in half, and designate one person in the North and one in the South to click the left button and lock in the wheels. In veteran mode, when a player clicks the terminals, they will not be allowed to click the terminal again for a few seconds, so multiple players will need to help with the puzzle. If you are finding your group is getting hit hard with damage by the enemies that show up, encourage them to use interrupts and stuns.

The smaller enemies also have a shield that reflects damage back at the attacker — so in veteran mode especially, players will want to stop that shield from going up in the first place, or not attack until it goes down.

The fourth fight against the Infernal Council, known as the Council fight or the Lords boss, is quite unique and is actually eight individual enemies, and each member of the team fights one of the enemies alone. There are three different types of enemies in this fight, known as Marauders, Assassins, and Juggernauts.

You can tell which ones are which by clicking on them and looking near their character portrait, under their names. The Juggernauts are meant to be fought by tanks, the Assassins by healers, and the rest of the group takes on the Marauders. Groups will often tell you to go pick out and stand in front of an enemy before the fight starts, to make sure everyone is properly assigned a council member.

Do everything in your power not to accidentally hit any other enemy except the one you are assigned to, as it can cause the fight to fail for your entire group. You can only help one single team-mate with one single attack once your own enemy has been defeated.

What groups usually do is tell you to defeat your enemy first, then look around the room. If there is a player that is very behind compared to the group, you can attack their enemy with one single hard-hitting attack to help them. This fight can get pretty funky if you are short a team-mate. The entire group will need to be very careful and not accidentally hit the unattended council member, even though they are very likely running around the room getting in the way.

Then, when the assigned player is done with their first council member, they will move on to their second. Soa is the final fight in this operation, and also one of the most cinematic fights in the entire game. Although the operation is considered easy when it comes to damage, you can still very easily get yourself killed in this fight, and the goal will be to keep yourself alive long enough to see the whole thing.

Entrance — Be careful not to run too far forwards or you will accidentally start the fight. Most teams will tell you to jump down the little ledge from the hallway onto the circular platform that Soa is on, but not to walk forward any closer to the boss. Entrance Bug — Unfortunately, there is a nasty bug that sometimes starts the fight if any player jumps down off the first ledge onto the round circular platform. If you want to avoid this, stay up on the smaller ledge until you are ready to start!

Positioning — The ranged players and healers will want to stay as far back from Soa as possible, and stand near to the door and ledge where they entered the room, on the outer ring of the platform. Green Puddles — Soa will place down large green puddles on the ground that harm anyone standing in them. This is a sign that the middle rings of the platform are about to fall away, and the team needs to get back quickly to the outer ring near the entrance, which will soon become a ledge with a sheer drop all around it.
