Where is loretta lynns house

Read more. Ranch was great, but no southern hospitality here! I was just on my vacation celebrating our 25th Anniversary out in Tennessee, a dream trip for me. Throughout my trip I had encountered some of the nicest people I have ever met! Not ONE rude person at any tours and we did many!! I had always wanted to visit here and was so excited. We had a buy one get one free from my Entertainment book.

I also had the online digital version that all you had to do was show the clerk your phone and that was it. They told me they had never heard of Entertainment books or those coupons and I told them I had 2 of them so they do exist. They weren't going to honor without seeing the coupon.. I finally did, but by the time I got back in the store the reception was gone again.

I couldn't believe it!! I went back out got reception then took a photo of my 2 vouchers one for us and the other for our friends traveling with us to use. I took my camera back in with me, Tommy was NOT happy or courteous at all. He told me next time you come be prepared and print your voucher up. I was taken back!! He gave out an exasberated under the breath comment I could not hear clearly. He reluctantly ended up selling me my ticket but refused to honor the other one for the other couple with us mind you this is a totally separate voucher!!

My friend came out very upset that he refused her and when she said forget it I am just not doing the tour, he commented to the employee working along side him "typical foreigners! She was humiliated and so I went back in and he didn't believe me that I had 2 vouchers and that the manager told me that both would be honored if I can show the photo.

So I showed him the 2 photos again, and I even told him "sir, I am not being dishonest, I am just trying to use my entertainment. They do exist. The man in the store his name was Tommy. Knowing the personality that Loretta has and how I would think she would want her guests to be treated and spoken too was like what I had experienced throughout Tennessee Our tour guide on the other hand, was very sweet. The ranch is beautiful!!

After our tour I wanted to shop, but I wouldn't go back in that store to buy souvenirs like I had planned because Tommy was still in there. KLM1 Kitchener, Canada contributions. Where else can you sleep on a tour bus? Check in was smooth at the office. It was fun to get the actual key to the bus on a Loretta Lynn key chain.

The bus is parked in the campground, where the big campers park. It includes a nice deck with table and four chairs, which were great for lounging around. There is a small store across from the bus where you can buy firewood, which we did, and later enjoyed a lovely campfire with our neighbours in the next campsite.

The bus is unbelievable. There is plenty of room. Front of the bus includes a table with two bench seats, plus a couch, and TV with videos plus Dish Network. All the comforts of home! There was a kitchen area, including fridge, microwave, dishes, etc.

It includes two couches which fold down into two double beds, and another TV with lots of videos. Only thing missing on the bus is a shower, but there is a very nice bath-house directly across the road from the bus, with clean showers. If you like Loretta, you will love the bus. We stayed in a cabin on the Ranch. They are the cutest "A" framed cabins with a loft upstairs and a bed downstairs. The cabin was immaculate. The whole ranch is immaculately kept. Every single employee at the ranch is kind and welcomes you like your'e family.

Cissy Lynn was in and out of the office. She is not presumptuous because of her stardom and very friendly as she runs the business, which is quite large. I believe it is acres. They have shops that are very reasonably priced and very nice wood items. I bought a beautiful wood carved table that is awesome. They have a tour that takes you through "the coal miner's daughter's life. It includes a simulated coal mine where her father worked.

You also go into the mansion. The bottom floor is part of the tour with gorgeous items were owned by Loretta. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She did not rush us through the tour and you spend as much time as you would like in the self guided museum which includes some of Loretta's cars also. Loretta must be a very humble person. She could live in the mansion but chose to live in a smaller home behind the mansion.

She wanted the big house for her fans to see. What star of that magnitude does that? Cissy Lynn has a little country store that comes in handy when in the cabin.

Again, the workers in the store were very helpful and nice. I had a new food, to me, called potato mashers. I ate them every day. Overall, not only do you get to stay on the same property as Loretta Lynn, that aside, this ranch should be a must on your "to go to" list.

Surprisingly, one of the original owners of the house was named James Anderson. Born May 29th, , he was the founder and builder of the Hurricane Mills Plantation, and his spirit and his family are said to haunt the home still. They have not only been seen by staff and visitors but by Loretta and her family. James Anderson is buried on the property. This is where her son felt the soldier trying to take his boots off when he and his brother woke up and saw a man pulling at his boots!

They ran out of the bedroom and straight to their mother, exclaiming that a Civil War soldier was in their bedroom. When inside the room, staff can hear knocking from inside the closet door, but upon further inspection, only Christmas decorations and stored items are inside.

Loretta tells of a time she came back home one day and saw a woman standing on the balcony. Noticing that the woman was not Gloria, Lynn rushed inside to find Gloria to ask her. She recalls asking her who was up on the balcony, and Gloria stated that no one else is in the home. Loretta then told her she saw a woman in white, pacing back and forth, wringing her hands like something was very wrong. They went upstairs to investigate but found no one.

Visitors report seeing full-bodied apparitions standing at the top of the stairs, on the balcony, and even along the walkway. Housekeeping reports that after they spend time straightening the albums that hang on the wall, they find them crooked a few moments later. One review on the ranch states that the Loretta Lynn Ranch is genuinely haunted. A visitor and her family visited the home not knowing the history beforehand.

As our flood cleanup efforts progress we are pleased to report that the museum and two of the gift shops have reopened for visitors. Guided tours remain closed for now. We have also resumed accepting reservations for RV camping and cabins. Please follow our facebook and socials for the most up to date information or call Native American Artifacts Museum For the love of her fans Loretta Lynn wanted to create a special museum dedicated to her fans to showcase some of the amazing gifts they have given her throughout her long iconic career!
